Born in Oxfordshire England 1971, before the age of ten learning music and enjoying woodworking played a massive part of Neil's early life. Both these interests went on to shape his career.
Doing a full woodworking apprenticeship leading to becoming a skilled cabinetmaker, running his own business, and being around many great guitar players during his banding days ultimately led to Neil making his first guitars.
Establishing Haynes guitars was a lifetime ambition and now, with his small team is producing the high-end instruments you see on this site today.
When working and repairing many vintage guitars and seeing the issues with these early guitars he was able to take the best bits and look to improve on their designs in his own designed guitars.
