The Big Changes
The Sound
All of the pickups on our guitars are carefully designed by us and made in-house by our talented team. We here at Haynes spent years designing and building our own pickups and finding the perfect sound and balance for the pickups on the Inflection and we think they are some of the best pickups out there. We have worked on them to make some great balanced set of killer P90s or if you want something more custom please feel free to get in touch.
We fit all of our guitars with the finest electronics CTS pots, CRL switches, Switchcraft Jacks and Oil in Paper Capacitors.
Playability
We have designed the Demeanour headstock to have straight string pull as well as an 8-degree headstock angle to improve tuning stability. All of our guitars have the highest quality Jescar fretwire with each guitar having a full level, crown and polish by our Master Luthier. We have also made sure that all of our necks are as comfortable to play as possible with our custom 9.5” to 14” fretboard radius each guitar having the fretboard edges rolled by hand to make sure they are perfect.
More Ergonomic
We made some subtle and some larger changes to the shape and carves, added more comfort by increasing the radius on our arm carve and deepening our stomach carve as well as our new countered heel carve & deep front scoop for greater access to the upper frets and far more comfort when playing.
The Perfect Hardware
At Haynes, we strive to make everything we can in-house, even our metal neck plates, back plates and pickguards, which we designed to perfectly fit our shapes and then finish them in some great aged finishes, from brass to steel and copper that ages and patinas over time.
When we can’t make it, we use the best hardware out there, Gotoh. The bridge on our Demeanour is the fantastic custom 510 Tremolo and the tuners are high spec and reliable Gotoh locking tuners.
The Finishing Touches
When it came to the finish on the Demeanour we wanted to go with colours that fit our modern take. Although we are great lovers of classic colours, we thought “You wouldn’t go out and buy a brand new car in a classic Sea Foam Green today” So we spent a long time testing finishes and working with our paint supplier to find finishes and colours that worked for this guitar. We have come up with 7 ultra-modern metallic finishes that we think look fantastic, especially when matched with our custom colour metal work.
Burnt Orange - Opal Blue - Electric Blue - British Racing Green - Smoke Grey - Midnight Purple - Charcoal Black - Blood Red.
Along with our 7 standard colours, each quarter we are offering a limited few 2 or 3 colour metallics or flip-flop colours that change colour depending on the angle of the light.
On our Demeanour necks, we used a Semi-Gloss super thin modern Nitro Finish, allowing you to be able to glide up and down without the neck getting sticky.
